Valentine Special:

Hi Navneet, as I said in my e-mail, you couldn't post comments about the "Valentine Day Special" post because it was an old post and is on my old blog where comments aren't supported. I have posted it here so that it can be read through the link above and comments can be posted. Hope it works here. I’ve already added your comments that you sent to me in the e-mail in the comments section. Hope you don’t mind me using your name here.

Valentine Special:
I have spent most of my day today arguing with many of my friends about how unnecessary it is to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on flower in one day... [read the post]

Your points apply not only to valentines day but to father's day, mother's day...etc Its just a day when u represent your love for your patner.when u let your patner know how much you care for him/her.It does not mean you mistreat your patner the other days but its just a day when you keep your daily routine aside and get some time to let your patner feel special.and that applies to all other days as well.

Money doesn matter.A quality time spent with your patner would be the best gift you could give. So, i don't think you should have much against the day. and as far as modernisation is concerned, being modern doesnt mean adopting western culture its being more broad minded.and regarding wat u said about forgetting one's own culture ,my traditions are inborn celebrating a western day does no harm to my traditional values. I still am an indian !!

i guess that's all i have to say on this topic...

Navneet, thanks for your comments. I don’t see much of disagreement from my position on the V-Day issue. The only difference in our opinion I could see was that you think it’s okay to celebrate one’s love on that particular day in a special way, whereas I support the celebration of one’s love every single day. We seem to agree on how can that love be better expressed (through spending quality time with our partner rather than spending money on them). Well that’s it from me on that issue.. for now anyway.

Thanks for Your comments again. I would like to hear from you on other posts as well.

To the person who put the last comment above:
You've written a comment as an Anonymous Person. I would've appreciated if you had put your name/nickname there so that I knew who you are. Now I don't know who to reply to ;)
