It may come as a surprise to many but sport is more important to men than sex.

This is evident from the fact that during the last Football World Cup in 2002, the number of Viagra prescriptions fell by more than half from 27,000 a month - the largest drop recorded.

According to Isis, an independent health research firm in the UK, either the excitement was a natural stimulant, or people were so involved in football that they lost interest in sex. Doctors suspect the latter.

"After years of drug development, it seems that the fortunes of the newest products in the erectile dysfunction market may be affected not only by advertising and sales calls, but by a game of football," Amy Ridler, a researcher at Isis, was quoted as saying by The Telegraph. ANI
